Air India Airlines Check-in
Web Check-in: You can check-in online on the Air India website www.airindia.in, select your seat, and print your boarding pass from the comfort of your office or home. If you have baggage to check, you must arrive well before check-in closes at airports.
Kiosk Check-in: Some airports include self-service check-in kiosks where you can check in and print your boarding pass. Only domestic flights are currently served by this facility. Please contact our check-in representative before check-in closes at the airport if you have baggage to deposit.
Mobile Check-in: If you download the Air India Mobile App from the App Store for iPhone or Google Play for Android phone, you will be able to not only check-in for your flight, but also choose your seat, check time table information, and contact our contact centre. On all Air India (domestic and international) and Alliance Air (AI 9000 series) flights, you can check in. On Code Share flights, mobile check-in is not authorized.
At Airport: To catch your flight, you must complete your Air India check-in prior to arriving at the airport. In view of the pandemic, the Indian government has made check-in necessary prior to arriving at the airport to catch a flight. All domestic flights on Air India have a check-in option accessible from 48 hours to 1 hour before departure, while all international flights have a check-in option available from 48 hours to 2 hours before departure.

Hand Baggage or Carry- On Baggage: For both domestic and international travel, the cabin baggage allowance for carriage on all Air India (AI) operated aircraft is as follows:

For Boeing and Airbus flight, the height is 55 cms (22 inches) plus the length is 35 cms (14 inches) plus the width is 25 cms (10 inches) for a total of 115 cms.
In economy class, there is a limit of one piece of hand luggage per person, with a maximum weight of 8 kg while in business or first class, passengers are allowed one piece of hand luggage weighing no more than 12 kg.
Checked baggage: All Air India flights are divided into three categories: first, business, and economy. Each has a different checked luggage allowance. A total of 40kg is allowed for guests travelling in first class. Only 35kg is allowed for business class passengers. The checked luggage allowance for economy class travelers is 25kg. All infants in these classes are allowed to check 10kg of luggage. These criteria are based solely on Air India's domestic flight allowance.
Excess Baggage: Passengers would be charged INR 500 per kg for excess carry-on baggage, plus an additional GST tax. Passengers must realize, however, that even if they are carrying duty-free items, they will only be allowed 10kg of additional baggage after paying the excess baggage fee.

They make sure you have a good time while on board. Air India's chairs recline 180 degrees and have plenty of space and a headrest. They also offer a Sky Bazaar programme for shopaholics, in which passengers can purchase fragrances, jewellery, and liquor.
