Jolly Grant Airport , Dehradun

Jolly Grant Airport, also known as the Dehradun Airport, is located approximately 22 kilometres southeast of Dehradun in Uttarakhand. The airport's operations began in March 2008, following the expansion of the runway to accommodate larger planes. A new terminal was opened in February 2009.Dehradun Airport opened in 1974, and Vayudoot operated services to Pantnagar and Lucknow between 1982 and 1995. In December 2004, Air Deccan began service between New Delhi and Dehradun. The airport is also close to Rishikesh (about 20 kilometres away) and Haridwar (at a distance of roughly 30 kilometers).

It takes about 20 and 45 minutes to drive to these cities, respectively.

From the Jolly Grant Airport, three airlines operate scheduled flights: Jet Airways, Spicejet, and Indian Airlines. Flights between New Delhi and Dehradun are the most common. There are also flights between Dehradun and Mumbai, Trivandrum, and Bangalore.Scheduled flights between Lucknow and Dehradun are operated by Ventura AirConnect and Alliance Air. Jet Konnect also provides services between Dehradun and New Delhi.

The Jolly Grant Airport terminal offers hotel reservations, car rental, and Uttarakhand tourism services. Travelers can also use trolleys and wheelchairs for the elderly or disabled for free. There is also a child care room, a telephone security hold area, and a lost and found baggage counter.If necessary, an airport medical room is available.
