Amritsar Tourism
Amritsar, the spiritual and cultural capital of the Sikh minority, is one of the major cities
in the Punjab province in northwest India. Amritsar was built in the 16th century by Guru Ram Das Ji, the
fourth Sikh Guru, and is named after the holy tank of Amrit Sarovar. The tourist attractions in Amritsar,
which are steeped in culture and history, draw millions of visitors from around the globe. One of the reasons
people from all walks of life gather here for serenity is to visit the most interesting and famous temples,
such as the Golden Temple and Akal Takht. These significant Sikh shrines will astound you. The spiritual
prayers of Gurudwaras begin each day in this serene city. The ancient lake was given the moniker "pool of
ambrosial nectar," followed by the temple complex and finally the surrounding city.
