Cherrapunji in Summer- The summer season in Cherrapunji begins in March and ends in May, with moderate rainfall from March to April and heavy rainfall in May. By Air- The Umroi Airport near Barapani is the nearest airport, located about 25 km from Cherrapunji. It connects major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata, and Chennai. To reach your destination, hire a cab from the airport.
By Train- The closest railway station is in Guwahati, about 105 km from Cherrapunji. You can take a bus from the Guwahati bus stop or rent a taxi to reach your destination.
By Road- The road conditions are in good shape, with less steep and winding roads. So, embark on a memorable drive to Cherrapunji from Jorbat junction via NH 37, follow Google Navigation, and turn right for Meghalaya to cover a distance of about 146 km by road.
