The Mattupetty Dam, surrounded by the lush hills of Mattupetty, is one of Kerala's most popular tourist destinations. This dam is located about 13 kilometers from Munnar and is surrounded by enchanting valleys, rolling grasslands, mist-laden hills, and cascading streams. The reflection of the tea garden in the still water will take your breath away when you visit the Mattupetty dam in Munnar. You can also reach the dam by speedboat if you want to experience the thrill of water sports. Trekking in the nearby Shola forest is another enjoyable activity. Many plants and animals can be seen while trekking through this forest. Enjoy the peaceful beauty of the rivulets and cascades that run through the village.

Lakes In Mattupetty Dam- The Mattupetty Dam's eponymous lake is only a few miles from the dam and is a favorite among locals and visitors to Munnar and the dam. This lake offers numerous picturesque panoramas and photo opportunities because of the lovely tea gardens, the lush Shola forests, and the Munnar hills surrounding it. Speed boating, pedal boating, motor boating, and/or row boating are all options here.

Cattle Village In Mattupetty Dam- The name "Cattle Village" also refers to the village of Mattupetty. After the renowned Indo-Swiss farm project was founded nearby in 1963, the area received its name. The farm has a sizable population of high-yielding cattle, and guests can see their sheds and learn more about the project.

Hike In The Shola Forest In Mattupetty Dam- The Mattupetty Dam is surrounded by rich vegetation, partly due to the Shola forests and nearby tea gardens. Hiking on one of the many paths that wind through the forest will allow you to lose yourself in nature completely.
