Kfdc Floriculture Centre In Munnar- Located just a few hundred meters away on Mattupetty Road, this flower garden is a must-see for children. The botanical garden, also known as the Government Garden, charges INR 50 per person to see a variety of bonsai, cacti, flowering plants, and succulents.
Carmelagiri Elephant Park in Munnar- Located about 3 kilometres from the Photo Point, the Carmelagiri Elephant Park is a delight for wildlife enthusiasts. A seven-minute drive will bring you to a herd of tamed elephants. These elephants have been trained by mahouts and are ready to take tourists on an exciting ride on their backs.
Thirumeni Cultural Centre in Munnar- A 6-minute drive from the Photo Point, brings you to a cultural theatre where you can see traditional Kerala dances and martial art forms. The entry fee of INR 300 gets you a ticket to see some riveting Kathakali and Kalaripayattu performances. The shows are interactive in that you can watch the performers do their makeup and then join in on the dance at the end.
CSI Christ Church in Munnar- About 18 kilometres from Echo Point, CSI Christ Church is a 100-year-old church built during British rule. It's a tranquil spot in the mountains. The church is also known for its well-kept architecture. It is a lovely church built in the Gothic style with granite and decorated with lovely stained glass and brass plaques.
The tranquil hills of Munnar are surrounded by expansive tea plantations, which draw thrill-seekers interested in paragliding, treks to Anaimudi (South India's highest peak), and climbs starting at the meeting point of three mountain streams. The British constructed the stone Christ Church in 1910, decorated with renowned stained glass pieces. About 10 miles away, Eravikulam National Park is home to similarly colourful wildlife, including the critically endangered Nilgiri Tahr (ibex), ruddy mongoose, and 120 bird species.
