Itinerary Details
Your journey begins with an early morning pickup from Manali, where you'll embark on a scenic drive toward Kaza, the heart of Spiti Valley. Crossing the spectacular Atal Tunnel, you’ll traverse through the Lahaul Valley, passing through quaint villages and breathtaking landscapes. The drive will take you through places like Chhatru and Batal, offering magnificent views of the towering Himalayan ranges. After a long yet scenic journey, reach Kaza in the evening. Check into your hotel, enjoy a warm meal, and rest for the night to acclimatize to the altitude.
On the second day, after a hearty breakfast, head out to explore Kaza and its surrounding areas. First, visit the Key Monastery, a beautiful Tibetan Buddhist monastery perched atop a hill, offering panoramic views of the valley. Then, explore the charming Kibber village, one of the highest inhabited villages in the world. In the afternoon, visit the Chicham Bridge, Asia’s highest suspension bridge. Spend your evening strolling around Kaza’s local markets or relaxing by the valley’s peaceful atmosphere. Overnight stay in Kaza.
After breakfast, drive to Tabo Monastery, one of the oldest and most significant monasteries in Spiti, known for its ancient murals and spiritual aura. The journey continues to Dhankar Monastery, perched dramatically on a cliff offering stunning views of the Spiti River and surrounding mountains. In the evening, return to Kaza for an overnight stay.
On Day 4, venture to Langza, famous for its fossils and the gigantic Buddha statue overlooking the valley. Continue your journey to Hikkim, home to the world’s highest post office, and send a postcard from this unique spot. Visit Komic, one of the highest motorable villages in the world, where you can experience the raw beauty of high-altitude villages. Return to Kaza for an overnight stay.
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and begin your journey back to Manali.
